  Dawn and Roger

Team Rintala

Dawn and Roger Rintala are longtime recreational cyclists who rode their first Century (Tour de Tuscon) with the help of Team In Training in 1997. This was a tandem ride for them and they have since enjoyed both tandem and singles in endurance events and tours ever since. Team In Training has been a source of many important experiences for us and we have developed wonderful relationships with many people comitted to the twin goals of completing their event and curing Leukemia and related cancers.

Team Rintala's other TNT adventures include Deathride (2000 & 2001), 24-Hours of Moab (2000), Moab's Fat Tire Festival (an epic 55-mile TNT mountain bike ride in 2000), Chico Wildflower Century (2001) and America's Most Beautiful Bike Ride (Tahoe, 2000 &2001). Dawn and Roger have made their commitments to these programs and the cause as participants, mentors, and coaches. Together they have proudly raised over $25,000 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

As coaches, Dawn and Roger aim to help TNT participants achieve their event goals and gain the experience and skills to thoroughly enjoy their time invested in their training and fundraising. While coaching individually, the Christmas Tandem just might make another appearance during this year's winter program!

Good luck to you all and have fun!
