I am a Bay Area native and fortunate to have my family, especially my three nephews and one niece, all close by. Besides riding, and being a Capricorn, I enjoy skiing (both downhill and cross-country), sailing, cooking (and eating), and knitting. I love taking long walks, but hate running. I think naps on Sundays should be required.

Riding was just something I had always wanted to take up as a hobby and in fact had registered for the AIDS ride as a way to introduce myself to the sport six years ago. Shortly after registering, my father was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and died 11 months later. The years passed and I still had this yearning to ride, having withdrawn from the AIDS ride training program, I decided to join up with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society as cancer had touched my life not only through my father but through other loved ones too.

This is my 3rd season with TNT. I started riding with TNT during the summer 2001 season and completed the Seacoast and Las Vegas Century Rides. So what initially started out for me as an athletic endeavor (and still very much is), joining TNT has been a phenomenal way for me to help fight a disease that takes far too many lives. But for me, TNT is more than about the physical challenge of the rides, and the fight against blood-related cancers; it is about the incredible people I have met through this organization. I look forward to getting to know you!
